Woman to Watch: Susan Ramirez

Susan Ramirez is a visionary leader, founder and CEO of Austin Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children, youth and families experiencing foster care across the U.S. through the National Angels network. Since founding the organization in 2010, Ramirez has grown Austin Angels from a grassroots initiative to a dynamic, scalable model, with 19 chapters across 14 states. Under her leadership, the organization has grown from zero employees to a robust team of 126. Known for her strong business acumen, Ramirez combines strategic vision with operational excellence to position Austin Angels as a sustainable and scalable solution to one of America’s most pressing social challenges. Inspired by her experience as a foster parent, Susan and her team developed innovative community based programs like Love Box® and Dare to Dream®, which deliver consistent, results-driven support to children and families in the foster care system.
