Waterloo Greenway | Chief Operating Officer
Erica Saenz joined Waterloo Greenway Conservancy in January 2020 and serves as chief operating officer overseeing organizational and park operations, communications, community engagement, human resources and programming. She was born in the Rio Grande Valley and moved to Austin in 1993. She holds a BA from UT Austin and an MFA from UCLA. Previously, she served as associate vice president for community and external relations at UT Austin. Saenzis an alum of Leadership Austin and Leadership Texas. Past board and service commitments include Austin Sound waves, Community Advancement Network, Goodwill Industries of Central Texas, I Live Here I Give Here, Restore Rundberg, Somos Austin, Texas Exes’ Hispanic Alumni Network andAlumni Association Network advisory board, The Hispanic Alliance and The Long Center for the Performing Arts. Waterloo Greenway is a one-and-a-half-mile urban park system supported by a public-private partnership with the City of Austin. The park system is being planned, designed, and built in three phases. Phase 1 opened in August 2021 and includes Waterloo Park and Moody Amphitheater.
