WHAT: Oseyo, the Korean American restaurant in East Austin, is thrilled to announce the launch of Anju Banju popup nights on its newly redesigned Patio Oseyo. Beginning Thursday, May 11, Anju Banju popup nights will be held weekly on Thursdays, featuring live music from local artists, a curated menu of affordable, street-food-style plates and natural wine and cocktail pairings.

The popup is designed to embody the phrase “Anju Banju,” Anju being the Korean term for snacks served with alcohol and Banju meaning the pairing of these foods with great drinks; a festive way of eating that Oseyo would like to share with the Austin community. All specialty menu items will be available only on Thursdays on the patio, and will feature items such as panko-crusted Korean k-dogs, crispy seasoned rice cake on a stick, potato croquettes with soy-marinated brisket, house-made banana milk popsicles and gochugaru cotton candy, to name a few playful items.

The first Anju Banju night on May 11 will preview future seasonal Night Markets at Oseyo that will start in the fall. Oseyo will host a natural wine vendor, a soju vendor, and a smaller selection of products for sale, including Oseyo in-house food products like kimchi, sauces and pickles; curated Korean products; and Oseyo merch, including tees, totes, mugs and more.
