May 4 @ 10:00 am - May 5 @ 6:00 pm
Nina Berenato will host 20+ of Austin’s female jewelry makers for a Mother’s Day shopping event – May 4th 10AM-8PM and May 5th 12PM-6PM. Fostering a sense of support instead of competition, Nina will open her doors to Austin’s maker community, offering her space as a pop-up location for local women to sell their creations and meet new clients. The event, sponsored by Chameleon Coffee, Goodnight Loving Vodka and Infinite Monkey Theorum; will include a full-service bar, serve coffee made by female farmers, feature an empowering henna station and stick and poke “mom” tattoos, amongst the locally made gifts.
Austin-based jeweler Nina Berenato, designer and creator of Nina Berenato Jewelry, hopes to support the other female creatives by giving them a platform to share their work. Berenato has invited her current clients to the event in hopes that they find new favorite designers and are able to access the work of lesser known designers. The event encourages Mother’s Day shopping to stay local.
“After 10 years in the fashion industry, I have realized just how devastating a mentality of scarcity and competition is for creativity and success. I want other makers to know that we are stronger together and that I am here for them as a support. When I say what’s mine is yours, I mean it!” says Nina.
Nina Berenato’s line has always been synonymous with female empowerment, community support and creativity. Using her resources – her flagship store location at Domain Northside and social platform, Berenato will strengthen the community and hopes to create a one of a kind experience for both makers and shoppers.
