Now in its 44th year, A Christmas Affair is a five-day holiday market that hosts more than 200 retail merchants from throughout the country and attracts more than 25,000 patrons. The theme, I’ll be home for Christmas, celebrates Christmas spent with loved ones. A Christmas Affair will be held at Palmer Events Center, located at 900 Barton Springs Road. Shop- ping space has expanded this year to include upstairs loft space for the Thursday and Friday market. Also new, the Hometown Food Court will offer food trucks and a place to relax. The Saturday market will even feature an outdoor Home Team Tailgate, where a 24-foot LED screen will show the most exciting college games, including those of the Texas Longhorns. You don’t have to decide between shopping and college game day; you can do both!
The Junior League of Austin uses funds from every ticket purchased for A Christmas Affair to carry forth its mission of developing the potential of women and improving the Austin community by providing essential funding and volunteer hours to programs such asCoats for Kids, Food in Tummies, Kids in Cool Shoes and more than 30 local nonprofits.
In addition to the extremely popular holiday gift market, The Junior League invites you to enhance your A Christmas Affair experience by attending one or more of our special events. All events require a separate ticket and prices vary depending on the event.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
Nov. 20, 7 to 10 p.m. | Be in attendance for the first tree lighting of the 2019 holiday season! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and one complimentary drink, and be the first to shop the selection from 200-plus merchants.
Christmas Cheers
Nov. 21, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Enjoy light pastries, one complimentary glass of bubbles and three hours of private shopping before A Christmas Affair opens to the public.
Making Spirits Bright
Nov. 21, 7 to 10 p.m. | Grab your girlfriends for a night out on the town and enjoy an evening guaranteed to make your spirits bright!
Mad for Plaid
Nov. 22, 7 to 10 p.m. | Embrace all things plaid at this year’s Christmas Cocktail event. The Junior League of Austin is thrilled to bring you Texas’ own country music star Jack Ingram for an intimate, one-of-a-kind concert.
Jingle & Mingle
Nov. 23, 8 to 10 a.m. | Wake up early and beat the crowds to enjoy two hours of weekend private shopping!

’Twas the Night Before Christmas
Nov. 23, 5 to 7 p.m. | Get cozy and settle in as Santa reads ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas at dinner.
Flannels and Flapjacks
Nov. 24, 9 to 11 a.m. | Join Santa and his friends for a holiday pancake breakfast while enjoying live music from Joe McDermott.

Nov. 24, 1 to 3 p.m. | Celebrate the holidays’ charitable spirit at our lunch with Santa! See Joe McDermott entertain.
Market tickets are $15 per person per day and include a shuttle ride to and from Barton Creek Mall.
