Dr. Nahal Delpassand completed her doctorate in counseling psychology at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. She completed her doctoral residency at Emory University in Atlanta and obtained her local training from St. Edward’s University Health & Counseling Center, Austin Child Guidance Center, McCallum Place Eating Disorder Treatment Center and Hospice Austin. Delpassand enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She describes herself as a solution-focused, future-oriented psychologist and believes in the benefits of brief therapy and empowering clients to cultivate a life that is in alignment with what they value. Delpassand emphasizes creating a safe, trusting environment that allows for collaboration, empathy and awareness so sustainable progress will ensue. She values her diverse cultural background, as it informs her understanding of cultural humility. She believes understanding each client’s unique cultural identity provides space for increased meaning and attentiveness to individual experiences.
