As the temperatures climb and Texas wildflowers bloom, quench your thirst with this delicious sangria from North Italia. The sweet berry flavors combined with the tang from the limes creates the perfect refreshing springtime cocktail. Serve it at your next barbecue or crawfish boil and impress your neighbors.

Red Sangria


16-ounce bag frozen mixed berries

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups triple sec

10 limes

1 cup cooking brandy

3 bottles merlot or malbec


  1. In a blender, blend the frozen fruit with 1 cup of warm water, 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 cups of triple sec.
  2. Pour the mixture into a large serving vessel and add the juice of 10 freshly squeezed limes.
  3. Add one cup of cooking brandy to the mixture and three bottles of merlot or malbec.
  4. Stir together until the mixture is uniform. Enjoy!
