As a woman new to the working world, fashion blogger DeAnna Rivers wanted her wardrobe to reflect the perfect blend of pieces that work for both day to night and work to play. After beginning her blog, The Visual Aspect, in 2016, Rivers further fell in love with fashion, enjoying blogging as the creative outlet she needed outside her day job as an occupancy and space planner at Dell.

Inspired by Marc Jacobs, Kourtney Kardashian, Olivia Culpo and more, Rivers tailors her blog primarily for women in their mid-20s to late 20s, and uses her blog as a resource to help them transition their closets from college to full-fledged adulthood.

“[This romper] has a little bit of embroidered detail on it. I know embroidery was huge, I think, last summer. It’s kind of overwhelming a little bit, but I do like to add some pattern and color into my wardrobe. First of all, I really like Kendall and Kylie [Jenner’s] collection at PacSun; the fit is always spot-on. It’s just fun and you can transition it into spring and also layer it with a cardigan or with a denim jacket, like how I’m layering it right now. And then, you can either do a flat or an athletic shoe or a chunky platform sandal. It’s just versatile. I love versatility within my wardrobe. For this outfit, it’s more boho-chic themed with the embroidered detail.”

“I’m huge into graphic tees. So, I think that’s just a great staple piece within your wardrobe. With that, you can just play it up because everyone likes different slogans. And then I’m pairing that with mom jeans. I love mom jeans. They fit great and they’re so relaxed, so I feel comfortable in them and I can wear them all the time. And then just a fun patent pointy-toed heel just to dress it up, but you can dress it down too so you’re comfortable as well.”

“I paired a mustard sweater and high-waisted shorts from PacSun. With shorts, you get the high-waisted then also the looser fit for around your thigh and butt area if you don’t want to have super tiny short-shorts. I paired that with a fun platform heel.”
