Salon veterans Sarah Bensley and her business partner, James Bryant, began researching higher quality hair and skin products after each had battled health issues, Bryant with Hodgkin lymphoma and Bensley with irregularities with her lymphatic system. When it became clear there was a need for a beauty store in Austin the whole family could trust, the duo decided to open Sentrel.
Located in Northwest Austin, Sentrel is named after the phonetic spelling of the word “central,” meaning “of the greatest importance; principal or essential.”
A Texan born and raised, Bensley apprenticed under Bryant at James Allen Salon. Their relationship quickly blossomed as they realized they were both eager to create a space for shoppers to easily find high-quality products that perform without sacrificing health, animals or the environment.
Here, the duo shares a handful of their favorite organic, eco-friendly and cruelty-free beauty products, all of which can be found at Sentrel.
