“Denise and I have been great friends for over a decade,” Maloff says. “We create art that is very different from each other, yet we resonate with our respective artistic sensibilities. Visitors to our previous collaborations have often commented on how our artwork complements one another.”
Chalda Maloff employs the powerful aesthetic potential of the computer to create images that elicit sensuality, emotion and spirituality. Her tools are an electronic tablet, electronic stylus, computer, art software, large-format art printer and archival pigment inks.
Her artwork is characterized by juxtaposition, transparency, and spatial ambiguity. She is represented by Ceres Gallery in New York City. In this studio tour show, Maloff exhibits pieces from her “Sea Jewels” series, underwater flights of the imagination, mini-vacations for the eye and the psyche.
Denise Fulton is a contemporary realist painter who works in oils. Her work is figurative and explores feminist themes. She is represented in Austin by Davis Gallery.
The artists invite visitors to enjoy a leisurely visit and dialog during the studio tour.
