Welcome to Austin Woman magazine’s inaugural Change Makers List, comprised of woman- and femme-identifying folks who are making significant and intentional strides to uplift Austin’s community. This list represents phenomenal names in business, tech, art, activism, C-suite, education and professional development, as well as people elected to seats of influence by the community, for the community. This list is by no means exhaustive. However, we at Austin Woman have found that the unfortunate norm on lists like this is a significant lack of women-identifying people and people of color.

While unfortunately we can’t list each and every phenomenal woman-identified person in Austin, we sincerely hope this is the start of something magical: A list that showcases the array of Austin womxn from all walks of life, all professional backgrounds, all passions, visions and experiences, with one thing in common—they are creating impact in our great city, even if they are rarely recognized for doing so. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening all around you. We hope that this list brings you hope—and builds confidence in the generation of womxn change makers to come.

These women-identified creatives are redefining the landscape of the arts in Austin.
