Editorial Internship

Find and tell stories of incredible women in and around Austin for Austin Woman magazine and website.

Responsibilities:
- Pitch and research monthly story ideas for web and print
- Write, at least, one article for print and one for web, monthly
- Fact check stories
- Upload stories to website
- Attend weekly intern meetings
- Meet deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Writing experience
- Availability for weekly meetings and time in the office
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Passion for Austin women, diversity and journalism
- Can work between 10-15 hours
Bonus:
- Experience editing with AP style
- Multimedia production experience (video, audio, photo)
- Familiar with Google Drive
- Familiar with WordPress
Marketing Internship
If you have a passion for community building online and in-person, we want you!
Assist in creating, promoting and implementing Austin Woman marketing campaigns and events.

Responsibilities:
- Write, research and create multimedia content for Austin Woman digital communications platforms; including our social media, newsletters and website
- Support content calendar
- Schedule social media content with native tools
- Assist with event prep including promotions and outreach, vendor tracking and research
- Attend AW events and assist in set up, management and break down
- Attend weekly intern meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Ability to work evenings and weekends (advance notice will be given)
- Availability for weekly meetings and time in the office
- Ability to meet deadlines

- Can work between 10-15 hours

Graphic Design Internship

- Create multimedia content for Austin Woman digital communications platforms; including our social media, newsletters and website
- Assist in layout of magazine and other Austin Woman print publications
- Implement brand guidelines into all assets created for Austin Woman
- Support editorial and content calendar
- Attend weekly intern meetings
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop
- Availability for weekly meetings and time in the office
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Passion for Austin women, diversity and journalism
- Can work between 10-15 hours
Bonus:
