Let’s Talk About Diversity in Tech

The Texas Tribune will host a free, open-to-the-public event — “Let’s Talk About Diversity in Tech” — at Rowling Hall at the McCombs School of Business on The University of Texas at Austin campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9.

Texas Tribune co-founder and CEO Evan Smith will moderate this panel discussion on demography, inclusion, innovation and social entrepreneurship in the tech industry. Panelists are:

  • Eugene Sepulveda, CEO of the Entrepreneurs Foundation
  • Joah Spearman, founder and CEO of Localeur
  • Mellie Price, executive director of commercialization, health ecosystem for the Dell Medical School

The event is free and open to the public and includes a light lunch. Lunch and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by the conversation at noon. The event will be livestreamed at texastribune.org/events, and the video will be available for viewing afterward. Paid visitor parking is available in the Rowling Hall parking garage and the AT&T Conference Center garage.

This series of conversations on business in Texas is presented and hosted by the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.
