Cherrywood Art Fair

Play, Shop, Dance, Create and Support East Austin’s Longest-Running Nonprofit Art Fair. Austin’s beloved holiday market now in its 18th year, has revealed its 2019 entertainment and programming lineup. In addition to more than 90 curated artists and makers from around Texas, the event will feature a full roster of live music and entertainment, interactive kids activities and foodie treats for the entire family.
Cherrywood Art Fair is also pleased to announce Jane Ko — popular Austin food blogger, author and creator of A Taste of Koko — as the 2019 event chair. In addition to chairing the event, Ko will be creating a festive interactive instagrammable installation, selling her cute Shop Koko Foodie tees, and signing her newly published Koko’s Guide to Austin book.
Family fun and interactive activities include Kids Art Corner by Austin Creative Reuse where little ones can create a variety of crafts including, upcycled cat toys, DIY buttons, recycled crowns, holiday ornaments and more. Popular face painter Sparkle Faerie will also return creating whimsical facepaint designs for folks of all ages.
Shoppers will have plenty of options for grazing on local fare throughout the day. Onsite food vendors include Jack Hates Coffee, Mmmpanadas, Crema Bakery, Jack and Jubi Snack Co., and Srsly Chocolate.
Cherrywood takes place Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Maplewood Elementary School located at 3808 Maplewood Ave. The event is free and open to the public. Proceeds from Cherrywood Art Fair fuel Chula League’s art programs that sustain the arts in East Austin.
