Local artist Carol Jillian reimagines what's possible in the sphere of fashion with her unique botanical couture.

Carol Jillian of Jillian Design has a love affair with floral design and has been working with botanicals her entire life. In 2016, after attending the Floral Design Institute of America, she became certified as a wedding floral specialist. During her time at the institute, she was inspired to start creating wearable floral and botanical couture. Since that moment, she has devoted her time to perfecting this artform, working only with freshly cut leaves, flowers and succulents.
Jillian grew up in Kamakura, Japan, and the Japanese appreciation of stark aesthetic is visible in her underlying design. Now based in Austin, she designs wearable botanical and floral couture, customizing these pieces to inspire individual beauty within and giving every special occasion a sparkle of magic.
