Director of Marketing and Communications, Texas Disposal Systems
Stacy Schmitt exemplifies the definition of a woman of influence. Beginning her career in public relations, Schmitt now serves as the director of marketing and communications for Texas Disposal Systems, and is responsible for making management and company decisions. She also helped TDS develop an educational program, Eco Academy (ecoacademy.org), from the ground up, designed to educate K-12 students about the importance of minimizing waste in order to preserve natural resources and the environment for future generations. Schmitt protects her company’s brand as fiercely as she does her personal brand, believing integrity is imperative to any great brand. Along with her incredible career, Schmitt has served as a mentor to young women for more than 15 years and is involved in numerous community, education and nonprofit organizations.
