Let’s Go Camping

Are you looking for a weekend getaway? Check out Camp No Counselors, the ultimate adult summer camp with luxury bunks and booze included.

Adult summer camp: It’s not exactly what comes to mind when you think of a weekend getaway with the girls, but trust us, it’s a thing. Camp No Counselors sets the bar high when it comes to reliving your childhood memories in a slightly unsupervised, adult-camp fashion. With coed cabins, morning mimosas and late-night raves, Camp No Counselors has combined all your old camp favorites with some new-age vibes, alcohol included.

The Austin location is about a three-hour drive outside the city limits in Vanderpool, Texas, where cattle roam free and the views are spectacular. The accommodations at Camp No Counselors include luxury bunk cabins, a massive dining hall, and a sparkling lake in all its aquamarine glory. Enjoy three daily meals with your new camp friends. (You’ll be surprised by how many people travel from throughout the country for the full camp experience.)

With activities such as archery, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, sand volleyball, arts and crafts, and much more, the weekend will fly by before you can soothe the hangover you obtained the first night. The coed cabin situation also makes for an interesting time, but if you’re trying for a specific setup, get there early and claim your territory.

The great thing about Camp No Counselors is that you can make the experience completely your own, whether you're more the outdoorsy type or prefer to drink till dawn. Light drinks are served during the day to prevent any over-drinking mishaps, but the open-bar offerings start in the evening and go all night.

Somewhat surprising is that some people come to Camp No Counselors on their own. When no one knows who you are or what you do, you can be just about anybody, and for a lot of folks, that means being who they’ve always known themselves to be. You wear no hats there, no corporate ones, anyway. All camp goers are nice and welcoming upon arrival, and egos and stereotypes aside, by the end of this weekend getaway, you may discover your fellow campers included famous actors and top executives.

Camp No Counselors is an amazing way to get unplugged from the chaos of everyday life. It’s also a great way to meet new people who just want to have a good time in good company. It’s rare in this day and age to be a part of something so freeing, so, if that’s what your soul is searching for, Camp No Counselors is where you want to be.

With upcoming camps in the San Antonio area, grab your ticket now and join in the fun for the Aug. 24 through 27 weekend, or this fall, for the Oct. 6 through 9 weekend. For campers living in the Austin area, CNC offers bus rides to camp for an additional fee.
