Board-certified family-practice physician Dr. Yetunde Sokunbi is a physician who views her work as a calling. As a senior in high school, she was accepted to the Rice/Baylor Medical Scholars Program. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rice University in 2008, and her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in 2012. She completed her residency in family medicine at the Halifax Family Medicine Program in Daytona Beach, Fla. At completion of her residency training, she received Resident of the Year and Excellence in Pediatrics awards. She currently works full time at the Circle C Austin Diagnostic Clinic, where she sees patients of all ages and provides chronic-illness care management, sick visits and preventative-health examinations. Her special interests include behavioral health and women’s health, and she also enjoys working with medical students as a clinical assistant professor for Dell Medical School.
